Editorial Standards
Publishing rules for accuracy, attribution, and updates
Writeble separates reporting, analysis, and opinion as distinct editorial modes. News coverage should be grounded in verifiable sourcing, analysis should make its assumptions clear, and commentary should not be presented as reported fact.
Articles should show publish dates, update dates when relevant, category labels, summaries, author attribution, and source context that matches the visible claims on the page. Headlines and metadata should reflect the story accurately rather than overstate certainty.
When substantive errors are identified, the article should be corrected promptly and updated with a clear note that explains what changed. Sponsored material, affiliate relationships, and partner-supported projects must be disclosed in plain language.
